Cassandra Kelly-Moody

Learning Associate

Cassandra Kelly-Moody is the Learning Associate at the Fred and Barbara Erb Family Foundation, where she supports a culture of learning across the organization. Working closely with the Learning Director, she contributes to evaluation and reporting, data collection and analysis, and communications about what the Foundation learns from its grantmaking and internal practices.

Prior to joining the Foundation in June 2026, Cassandra served as a Research Associate at the Center for the Education of Women+ at the University of Michigan. There, she designed surveys and data collection tools, analyzed qualitative and quantitative data, built dashboards and visualizations, and synthesized findings to support leadership decision-making.

Cassandra holds a Master of Social Work from the University of Michigan, with a concentration in Policy and Political Social Work and sub-concentrations in Program Evaluation and Applied Research, as well as a Bachelor of Arts in Linguistics with minors in Linguistic Anthropology and LGBTQ and Sexuality Studies. She earned the NASW-MI 2023 Student of the Year Award and a Gus Harrison Scholarship in Social Work and Public Administration — early recognition of a conviction she carries into every project, that evidence and data can be powerful tools for justice.

Cassandra is motivated by the belief that evidence and data storytelling can help leave the world a little better than we found it — and by her family who inspires her to keep working toward a more safe, just, and inclusive community. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her wife, dogs, and family, especially her nieces. She can often be found near the water, listening to audiobooks or the NPR Politics Podcast, or cheering on the Lions and Detroit City FC.
