Council of Michigan Foundations Philanthropy Fellow

Sahara Sidi is a Council of Michigan Foundations Philanthropy Fellow, in partnership with the Fred and Barbara Erb Family Foundation, where she is supporting Arts and Culture grantmaking and the Foundation’s commitment to strengthening the resiliency of arts and culture organizations in the tri-county area.

Prior to joining the Erb Family Foundation, Sahara was a Public Programming Coordinator at the Arab American National Museum. In that role, she helped curate events at the intersection of arts, culture, and community engagement.

Sahara received her bachelor’s in English and Sociology from Wesleyan University and her Master’s in Creative Writing from the University of Michigan’s Helen Zell Writers’ Program, where she was a Rackham Merit Fellow and received recognition for her work.

Outside of work, Sahara enjoys researching the lives of literary artists, spending time with friends, and checking out new art exhibitions.
