Best Wishes to Jodee Raines in New Career

Best Wishes to Jodee Raines in New Career

Jodee Raines, executive vice president of Programs and Erb Family Foundation board secretary and officer, notified us that February 18 will be her last day with the Foundation. She was recruited to an exciting new position aligned closely with her interests and personal mission which will be announced soon.

Jodee’s achievements as VP of Programs are well known to many. She built a program with Chairman, John Erb and the board of directors from literally nothing to the strong process we have today, and she hired, developed, and retained a terrific group of program officers and staff members, many of whom had no prior foundation experience. They learned on the job with Jodee, and she was an outstanding mentor. Her process for grants is extremely well regarded by our grantees and peer foundations, and Jodee has been sought after by many foundations for her advice and counsel as they started up or revised their approaches. On the programs, it is not an overstatement to say that we had a strong legacy of personal giving from our founders, but while we started with a clean slate more than a decade ago, you now see the strong and impactful programs we have: Anchor Arts, Great Lakes, GSI/CSO abatement, Sustainable Development, Lead/Asthma, Legacy Opportunities, and Alzheimer’s Disease. An incredible contribution to Fred and Barbara’s legacy.

But most importantly, Jodee made herself a hub of friendship and collegiality among the team. Her greatest legacy will be the relationships she built with so many in the Foundation and without.

While we are sad, we are also very excited for Jodee. A great new adventure awaits! Her new employer will be increasing their effectiveness and impact the first day she arrives.

Our best to Jodee in this next chapter in her career and a sincere thank you from all of us in the Erb Family Foundation.
