2020 & 2021 Annual Report Celebrates Impact of Grantees

We’re pleased to share our two-year annual report that highlights accomplishments from 2020 and 2021, demonstrating how the Foundation supported the important work of grantees during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Eight short vignettes celebrate the success and impact of our partners such as Environmental Working Group’s project to reduce nutrient pollution runoff to Lake Erie, and a pilot program run by Southwest Detroit Business Association for contractors to become certified in lead abatement and remediation. Others include how JazzEd Detroit created an online master class where young jazz musicians could play along at home with recordings of professional jazz artists.

Collectively, the Foundation paid a total of $24,392,916 in grants. We hope the stories shared in the report demonstrate our true commitment to our partners and grantees. The work of grantees mobilizes the Foundation’s investments, and we are honored to play a small role in making our region sustainable, just, vibrant, and flourishing.
