We’re excited to introduce three new team members who joined the Fred A. and Barbara M. Erb Family Foundation! Please help us welcome Carolyn Watson, Katie Ferriby, and Taylor Williams as they bring their passion, talent, and impact to our community. “The Foundation is delighted to bring Carolyn, Katie, and Taylor on board to expand our capacity to partner with our grantees,” said John Erb, president and chair of the Foundation.

Carolyn Chin Watson is the communications manager at the at the Erb Family Foundation. In partnership with the Foundation’s staff, board, partners, and grantees, she oversees strategic communications in alignment with the organization’s strategy, vision, and values. Prior to joining the Erb Family Foundation, Carolyn served as chief advancement officer at MCHS Family of Services and creative director at Hour Detroit.

Katie Ferriby is a Council of Michigan Foundations philanthropy fellow in partnership with the Erb Family Foundation. During her time at the Foundation, Katie will support our Great Lakes grantmaking. Before joining our team, Katie was a Challenge Detroit Fellow and a program support specialist at Brilliant Detroit. She is excited to learn more about philanthropy and the role foundations have on policymakers and local organizations.

Taylor Williams is a Council of Michigan Foundations philanthropy fellow in partnership with the Erb Family Foundation. During her time at the Foundation, Taylor will support our grantmaking for Arts and Culture, Sustainable Business, and Environmental Health and Justice. Taylor joins our team with excitement and passion as she continues her path of purpose in philanthropy. Her previous experience includes time at General Motors, Rocket Community Fund, and Engage@EMU.
