ARTS Anchor Arts Progress Highlights Detroit artisans continued to grow Pewabic Pottery’s legacy of innovative craftsmanship. Consistent and stable general operating support has allowed organizations like Pewabic to take risks and focus on long-term success. After 104 years in the same cramped east side facility, Pewabic will break ground on a tile studio expansion later this year. The expansion is projected to increase Pewabic’s revenues by 22.5% and integrate more environmentally-friendly tile production practices. We envision a culturally vibrant City of Detroit and metropolitan region. We provide general operating support for a diverse set of organizations that represent the cultural mainstays of the region, and additional support in exceptional cases for transformational efforts or significant investments that will strengthen their position as cultural anchors. 15
